Floral Department Manager

At Fortinos, we're seeking a highly skilled Floral Department Manager to lead our team in creating exceptional floral experiences for our customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your creativity and passion for flowers while working in a fast-paced retail environment.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our floral department, including ordering and merchandising floral products, designing fresh and silk flower arrangements, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous and friendly manner to maintain our reputation for delivering a personalized experience.
- Floral Operations: Ensure the timely ordering and receiving of floral products, and effectively merchandise them to meet customer demand.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and direct all floral department employees, including interviewing and selecting new hires, scheduling, and performance management.
- Safety and Sanitation: Maintain high standards of safety procedures and sanitation within the floral department.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills: A proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service in a retail environment.
- Floral Industry Experience: A minimum of three to five years' experience in the floral industry, with two years of management experience preferred.
- Education and Training: Post-secondary education in floral design or specialized on-the-job training.
- Working Knowledge of Plant Care: A competent understanding of plant and flower care, including knowledge of seasonal availability and product handling.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, and weekends, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
