Floral Department Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floral Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the floral department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales and profit growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the floral department, including ordering and merchandising products, to provide customers with a wide variety of creative and fresh floral arrangements.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a courteous and personalized experience for all customers.
- Work closely with the franchisee to establish costs and retails, ensuring maximum gross profits.
- Oversee the Garden Centre operations and other seasonal programs as required.
- Design innovative and exciting fresh, silk, and dried flower arrangements to meet customer demands.
- Interview and select new hires, schedule, direct, and supervise floral department employees.
- Ensure the maintenance of safety procedures and sanitation standards, as per company policy.
- Respond immediately to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times.
Requirements:
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Minimum of three to five years' experience in the floral industry, preferably with two years of management experience, Garden Centre experience is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in floral design or specialized on-the-job training.
- A competent working knowledge of plant and flower care.
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
