  2. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete accurate and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  3. Resident-Centered Care: Deliver holistic, quality care that aligns with RhynoCare's Mission, Vision, Values, and Resident Bill of Rights.
  4. Meal Service and Support: Assist with resident meal service, ensuring a safe and dignified experience.
  5. Restorative Nursing: Provide support and assistance with restorative nursing programs, promoting resident independence and well-being.
  6. Shift Coordination: Strategize and coordinate care activities with colleagues to ensure effective completion of resident care during shifts.
  7. Legislative Compliance: Execute care in accordance with current legislation, best practices, corporate policies, and procedures.
  8. Risk Management and Quality Improvement: Participate in agency risk management and quality improvement programs related to resident care.
  9. Documentation and Reporting: Complete timely, accurate, and complete documentation for all care delivered on assigned shifts.
  10. Mentoring and Education: Participate in new staff/student mentoring and promote educational opportunities to enhance their education.
  11. Team Collaboration: Foster good understanding and teamwork between shifts, registered and unregulated staff, and the collective agreement.
  12. Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including proper body mechanics, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
  1. Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Communication Skills: Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
  3. Language Proficiency: Ability to speak a second language is considered an asset.
  4. Education and Training: Must meet one of the following criteria:
    1. Successful completion of a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) from a Community College or a school approved by the National Association of Career Colleges OR
    2. RN, RPN, Paramedic, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy students with successful completion of Year 1.
  5. Experience and Certifications: Experience working as a Facility PSW is considered an asset. Must have a negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray, current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid Certificate, and meet health surveillance requirements of the Public Hospitals Act.
  6. Criminal Record Check: Must have a VSS within the past year of hire confirming absence of a criminal history/record.
