We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Meat Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Meat Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized meat department, and assisting with the sale of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Zoning the department to ensure a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate shopping experience for customers.
- Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise and prevent waste.
- Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet company standards.
- Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates to maintain a safe and healthy shopping environment.
- Taking orders for Deli Department merchandise, slicing and preparing merchandise, and providing requested assistance to customers.
- Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
- Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to prepare chicken and fill prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display areas and specialty orders from customers as required.
- Following Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
