Quotations Specialist Job Description

Nedco is seeking a skilled Quotations Specialist to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve customer and supplier disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Review and analyze supplier and customer terms and conditions documents to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors to drive business growth.
  • Coordinate regular job status update meetings with sales force and management to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Evaluate job closing losses and identify areas for improvement.
  • Obtain and analyze quote requests from contractors, sales representatives, and bid depository to ensure accurate quotations.
  • Oversee the quotation process from various sources to create a comprehensive package for customers.
  • Coordinate order placements with manufacturers for quoted material on project orders.
  • Release reviewed material for shipment and expedite orders according to the stipulated delivery schedule.
  • Review and manage the schedule of delivery dates to ensure timely completion.
  • Complete closing sheets on all quoted jobs to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Requirements:

  • College diploma in business, sales, or marketing (CET, etc.) or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 2-3 years of related experience in the electrical industry.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office and IBM AS/400.
  • Project management experience and knowledge of the electrical business is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literacy and experience in quotations/project coordination is a definite asset.
