Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our Assertive Community Treatment team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide employment services to clients recovering from mental illness, assessing and evaluating their vocational rehabilitation needs, and developing personalized plans to support their return to competitive employment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate client vocational rehabilitation needs through collaboration and goal-setting
- Develop and implement vocational rehabilitation plans, integrating vocational goals into mental health treatment plans
- Provide vocational rehabilitation counselling, job development, and job search activities to support clients in achieving their employment goals
- Collaborate with Case Managers, interdisciplinary team members, and community professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
- Conduct job development, direct marketing, and job search activities to support clients in achieving their employment goals
- Provide ongoing support services to clients, including vocational rehabilitation counselling, job coaching, and education
- Bachelor's Degree in an applicable social or health sciences program
- Two years' recent related experience providing vocational rehabilitation counselling and job marketing/development to individuals with mental illness
- Eligibility for certification as a rehabilitation professional with a recognized association
- Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to personal vehicle for business use
