Insurance Claims Adjuster

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Representative to join our team at Definity. As a Claims Representative, you will be responsible for handling claims related to property damage and ensuring that our customers receive fair and timely resolutions.
Key Responsibilities- Accept and process claims, working closely with customers and vendors to resolve issues efficiently
- Verify policy coverage and ensure that claims fall within the scope of the policy
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of claims, including pertinent data and system entries
- Process claims payments within authorized limits, verifying claimant entitlement
- Initiate salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files
- Assist in managing property queues and ensuring timely resolution of claims
- University degree, 2-year college diploma, or CIP designation (asset)
- 5+ years of experience in claims handling, preferably in auto or property claims
- Licensed in New Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland (asset)
- Familiarity with CICS and CDS systems
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Actively pursuing CIP designation
- Ability to work in a busy operation, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to changing environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
