Position Overview:

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic professional to take on the role of Road Safety Projects Lead. This position entails overseeing the coordination of motorcycle sales, contributing to charity events, and supporting the overall operations of the Motorcycle Training Program (MTP) while promoting road safety initiatives.

Location: Hybrid work environment

Employment Type: Part-time Contract

Contract Duration: 3-month engagement

Compensation: 24 hours per week at a rate of $26 per hour

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Executive Director

Collaborative Team: Works alongside the MTP Coordinator, Director of Programs, MTP Volunteers, and the Executive Director

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Motorcycle Sales Coordination:
    • Oversee the process of selling five to fifteen motorcycles owned by the organization.
    • Collaborate with the MTP Coordinator, volunteer mechanics, and finance team to ensure successful transactions.
    • Evaluate additional assets within the MTP that may be eligible for sale.
  2. Charity Ride Event Assistance:
    • Support the planning and execution of the Annual Charity Ride.
    • Contribute to fundraising efforts and participant engagement.
  3. General Program Support:
    • Assist with daily operations of the MTP.
    • Collaborate with team members on various road safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education.
  • Minimum of 5 years in customer service roles.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing road safety projects.
  • 1 year of experience in event coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with road safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in motorcycle sales is advantageous.
  • Passion for enhancing road safety and contributing positively to communities.
