Lead Coordinator for Road Safety Initiatives

Position Overview:

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic professional to take on the role of Road Safety Projects Lead. This position entails overseeing the coordination of motorcycle sales, supporting charity events, and contributing to the overall operations of the Motorcycle Training Program (MTP) while promoting road safety initiatives.

Location: OSC Ottawa Office / Hybrid

Job Type: Part-time Contract

Contract Duration: 3-month contract

Compensation: 24 hours per week at a rate of $26/hour

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Executive Director

Collaborative Team: Works alongside the MTP Coordinator, Director of Programs, MTP Volunteers, and the Executive Director

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Motorcycle Sales Coordination:
    • Oversee the sale of five (5) to fifteen (15) motorcycles owned by OSC.
    • Collaborate with the MTP Coordinator, Chiefs, Volunteer Mechanic, and Finance Manager to ensure effective sales processes.
    • Evaluate additional MTP assets for potential sale.
  2. Charity Ride Event Assistance:
    • Support the planning, logistics, and execution of the Annual OSC MTP Charity Ride.
    • Contribute to fundraising efforts and participant engagement.
  3. General Program Support:
    • Assist with daily operations of the MTP program.
    • Engage with team members to support various OSC road safety initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education.
  • 5+ years of customer service experience.
  • 3+ years in road safety project management.
  • 1+ year in event coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Positive attitude and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
  • Preferred experience with motorcycles and motorcycle sales.
  • Passion for enhancing road safety and positively impacting communities.
