Job Title: First Nations Cultural Liaison

Sturgeon Public School Division is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of First Nations Cultural Liaison. This position plays a vital part in fostering cultural understanding and providing support to First Nations students, families, and staff within the K-12 public education system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cultural programs and initiatives to promote First Nations awareness and understanding.
  • Provide support and guidance to First Nations students, families, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and community members to develop and implement culturally responsive practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with First Nations communities and organizations to promote cultural exchange and understanding.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of First Nations cultures and histories.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
