Senior Level Designer

About the Role:
We're seeking an exceptional Senior Level Designer to join our team at Electronic Arts. This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise in game level design to a world-class AAA title.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in video game level design, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality content. You'll be working closely with cross-functional teams, including technical and artistic stakeholders, to create engaging and immersive gameplay experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop major game levels that are both fun and challenging
- Collaborate with the technical team to understand and address constraints while maintaining AAA quality levels
- Work with level artists to ensure playability and graphic fidelity
- Contribute to playtesting and design discussions to refine gameplay mechanics
- Help improve the game editor to streamline development processes
- Test and troubleshoot areas not working in the game engine and resolve issues
- Partner with the Usability Lab to conduct A/B tests and usability studies
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in video game level design, with at least one AAA title under your belt
- Proficiency in visual scripting and level design tools
- Excellent communication skills to convey design decisions and create design documents
- Ability to work collaboratively with partners to implement designs
- Prototyping skills to share ideas with key stakeholders
- Comfortable participating in creative and technical design discussions
- Interest in environmental aesthetics and understanding function vs. form relationships
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment, spanning artists, programmers, and designers
