We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at the Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide mental health services to students and community members in a school setting. This is a contract position with the Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group counseling services to students and community members
- Develop and implement mental health programs and services
- Collaborate with school staff and community partners to support student well-being
- Conduct assessments and provide referrals as needed
- Maintain accurate records and reports
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Master's degree in a related field (e.g. counseling, psychology)
- Registration with a professional counseling association (e.g. Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association)
- Experience working with diverse populations, particularly Indigenous communities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
