Job Title: Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an acute surgical unit. As a RN, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Take on charge nurse responsibilities as required, demonstrating leadership and critical thinking skills.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and caring attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a surgical or acute care setting.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on patient-centered care.
