Your Opportunity:
The Registered Nurse role at Alberta Health Services is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of skill and expertise. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient and family centered care on an acute surgical unit. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, as well as working with a multidisciplinary team to make decisions and provide care.
Description:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and families, and to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for providing safe and quality patient care, while also contributing to quality improvement initiatives and supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Successful candidate is expected to pass the medication calculation exam (80% score) provided by the surgery program within 14 days of orientation
- Must be able to work within a team environment and to effectively contribute to patient/client planning processes
- Excellent communication skills, a compassionate and caring attitude, and attention to detail are necessary
