The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Supervisor to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our manufacturing facilities, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of production employees to achieve production objectives and maintain quality standards.
- Develop and implement manufacturing procedures and oversee shipping and receiving operations.
- Ensure a safe working environment by educating and directing employees on equipment and resource usage, and maintaining compliance with OHSA, JHSC recommendations, and MOL work orders.
- Conduct accident investigations and participate in WSIB case management to ensure early and safe return of injured workers.
- Develop, direct, manage, train, and motivate employees to achieve high performance and productivity.
- Administer company policies and procedures, and recognize, support, and commit to the Food Safety promise and facility Mission statement.
Requirements:
- Secondary school education.
- Previous production experience.
- Proven initiative and leadership skills.
- Continuous learner and willingness to embrace change while driving results.
- Experience and commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to problem solve and maintain a willingness to take calculated risks.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to successfully use MS Office and other computer software application programs necessary for Maple Leaf Operations.
