The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our manufacturing facilities, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain quality of product and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Assign employees, establish priorities, and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Supervise production employees and achieve production objectives
  • Verify and implement manufacturing procedures and oversee shipping and receiving
  • Maintain a safe working environment and educate employees on equipment and resource usage
  • Reduce and eliminate workplace accidents and assist in conducting accident investigations
  • Develop, direct, manage, train, and motivate employees to achieve high performance
  • Administer company policies and procedures and recognize, support, and commit to the Food Safety promise and facility Mission statement
Requirements:
  • Secondary school education
  • Previous production experience
  • Proven initiative and leadership skills
  • Continuous learner and willingness to embrace change while driving results
  • Experience and commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Good verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural environment and ability to address front-line employee relations issues
  • Good written communication skills and ability to formulate emails to cross-functional teams
  • Good math skills as it pertains to daily production counts
  • Ability to problem solve and take calculated risks
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use MS Office and other computer software application programs
