The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our manufacturing facilities, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of production employees to achieve production objectives and maintain quality standards.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing procedures and oversee shipping and receiving operations.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by educating and directing employees on equipment and resource usage, and maintaining compliance with OHSA, JHSC recommendations, and MOL work orders.
  • Conduct accident investigations and participate in WSIB case management to ensure early and safe return of injured workers.
  • Develop, direct, manage, train, and motivate employees to achieve their full potential.
  • Administer company policies and procedures, and recognize, support, and commit to the Food Safety promise and facility Mission statement.

Requirements:

  • Secondary school education.
  • Previous production experience.
  • Proven initiative and leadership skills.
  • Continuous learner and willingness to embrace change while driving results.
  • Experience and commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Good math skills as it pertains to daily production counts.
  • Ability to problem solve and maintain a willingness to take calculated risks.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to successfully use MS Office and other computer software application programs necessary for Maple Leaf Operations.
