Operating Room Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Operating Room team at Headwaters Health Care Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary health team, you will provide high-quality patient-focused care to a patient population with predictable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality patient-focused nursing care to a patient population with predictable outcomes.
- Rotate through Day Surgery, Operating Room, and Endoscopy areas as required.
- Practice within your full scope in accordance with the nursing philosophy and standards set by HHCC, the College of Nurses of Ontario, and the Regulated Health Professions Act legislation.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum 2 years recent combined clinical experience in Day Surgery, Operating Room, and/or Endoscopy required.
- Perianesthesia Certificate.
- Perioperative Certificate.
- Current C.P.R. certification.
- Other courses considered an asset for this role: IV Therapy, Basic ECG interpretation, Medication Administration, Wound Care.
- Appropriate lifting techniques.
- Acceptable performance and attendance records.
