About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Strategy and Analytics team at Capital One Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, building complex business cases, and collaborating with various business partners to execute delivery.

Working in an agile, cross-functional team, you will have the opportunity to learn from other job families like data scientists, process managers, and product owners. From a technical perspective, you will have access to various coding and visualization tools, including SQL, spreadsheets, and Python-based notebooks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies to test and scale new financial product offerings, conducting market and customer research, and coupling these insights with internal data modeling to propose new solutions for our customers.
  • Develop and maintain valuation models and the associated credit policies that help us determine who we extend credit to.
  • Develop A/B test plans to improve marketing efficiency across multiple channels.
  • Develop defenses and policies to mitigate fraud losses for Capital One.
  • Develop initiatives to help drive mobile adoption and usage.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, such as Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics.
  • Experience in basic coding, such as SQL queries, or data visualization, such as Tableau or QuickSight.
