Forensic Psychology Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Forensic Psychology to join our team at the University of Toronto Mississauga. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the area of forensic psychology, with a focus on the application of behavioral science in forensic settings.
About the PositionThis is a tenure-stream position that will be filled at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue innovative and independent research at the highest international level and to establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program. Collaborations with tri-campus departments are encouraged.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in forensic psychology, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and development of online material/lectures.
- Conduct research in the area of forensic psychology, with a focus on the application of behavioral science in forensic settings.
- Establish an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program.
- Collaborate with tri-campus departments and other researchers in the field of forensic psychology.
The successful candidate must have a PhD degree in Psychology or a PsyD (or equivalent) degree from an American Psychological Association-accredited or Canadian Psychological Association-accredited doctoral program (or equivalent international program). The candidate must also have a demonstrated record of excellence in both research and teaching, with an emphasis on the forensic application of behavioral science broadly construed.
Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a forensic clinical setting, or as an independent forensic consultant, with a proven record of casework, court testimony, or similar practices is preferred. The successful applicant must have demonstrated expertise in the field of Forensic Psychology and a proven record of, or planned trajectory of practice that includes professional forensic activities such as casework, court testimony, laboratory experience, or similar practices.
