We seek an exceptional Tenure-Stream Professor in Forensic Psychology to join our esteemed Faculty at the University of Toronto Mississauga. This tenure-track position is a fantastic opportunity for a highly qualified individual to contribute to our vibrant academic community and shape the future of forensic psychology research and education.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses, supervise students, and establish an innovative and independent research program in forensic psychology. We welcome applicants with expertise in areas such as forensic clinical evaluation, risk assessment, psychological interventions, and socio-psychological determinants of crime, particularly related to Indigenous and Black individuals and communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach undergraduate courses in forensic psychology and related fields
- Supervise students in research projects and thesis
- Establish and maintain a strong research program in forensic psychology
- Contribute to curriculum development and program planning
To be considered for this role, you must have a PhD in Psychology or a related field from a reputable institution, with a demonstrated record of excellence in both research and teaching. Experience working in a forensic clinical setting or as an independent forensic consultant is preferred. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
