About the RoleThis is a critical role that requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and client expectations. As a Senior Compliance Officer - Aviation Security, you will oversee audits and internal checks to guarantee that all operations meet the required standards.
You will work closely with frontline and administrative teams to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance compliance. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring that our screening process meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform regular audits and engage in active oversight to ensure SOP compliance and checkpoint performance
- Oversee and document compliance with CATSA's SOPs and Garda World BMS across the region
- Provide feedback to Screening Officers and inform Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) of findings in a timely manner
- Intervene immediately if parts of the screening process were not completed or if critical aspects of the screening process were performed incorrectly
- Conduct and/or assist audits (CATSA CCP, CGSB, and/or Internal Audits)
- Conduct site inspections, breach investigations, and infiltration test investigations
- Assist various departments with continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities for improvement and provide follow-up, positive, and constructive feedback
- Assist with the development, issuance, and tracking of Corrective Action Plans based on performance evaluations or incidents
- Collect data to measure SOP compliance and Screening Officer performance
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent
- Post-Secondary diploma or degree in Business Management or Auditing, or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of three to five years of experience in the aviation or security industry
- A minimum of two to five years combined experience in training and/or quality

This role may require travel within Canada on occasion. You will also need to be able to physically perform tasks such as standing, lifting, sitting for prolonged periods, and extensive use of a computer/electronic device. Additionally, you will be exposed to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable.
The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
