Bilingual Health and Safety Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Health and Safety Administrator to join our team at our headquarters in Ottawa, ON. As a key member of our Occupational Health and Safety department, you will play a critical role in supporting our health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional service to our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of health and safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with accident investigations, incident reporting, and claims management
  • Compile and maintain accurate records, reports, and databases related to health and safety programs and services
  • Provide administrative support to the Occupational Health and Safety Manager and Health and Safety Committee
  • Act as a liaison between employees, management, and external stakeholders on health and safety matters
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including regulatory agencies and industry associations
  • Stay up-to-date with changing health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices
Requirements:
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is a must
  • Valid driver's license
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related program
  • Advanced knowledge of Ontario (WSIB) and Quebec (CNESST) health and safety legislation
  • Strong proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
