Business Advisor Role

As a key member of the Canadian Banking Branch network, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers throughout their journey. Your focus will be on managing an assigned portfolio of high-value and/or complex small business owner relationships to achieve retention and other negotiated goals while meeting Scotiabank's Service Standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with various Centres of Influence to create a strong presence within the local business community.
  • Proactively engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive advice, enabling them to build successful businesses.
  • Utilize your results-oriented attitude and sound knowledge of the small business market, including the features and benefits of small business products and services.
  • Demonstrate excellent business development techniques and be conversant with small business legal structures and life cycles, competitor offerings, and alternate sources of financing.
  • Collaborate with other business lines within the bank to drive growth and success.
Requirements:
  • Education in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to communicate in English and French, as per the language needs assessment conducted by Scotiabank.
