The Associate Insurance Advisor I plays a vital role in supporting and developing the agency operation through sales and service of Co-operators personal lines products (auto and home insurance) and may provide some basic support for additional product lines.

Sales and Service

Our goal is to achieve profitable growth of personal lines insurance products by advising and recommending coverages and policies that best meet client needs. We prospect and cross-sell by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client.

  • Complete front-line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines.
  • Identify which risks require inspections and re-inspections.

We aim to achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality, and productivity. Support programs are in place to build multi-client relationships. Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints, and escalate issues appropriately.

You are committed to continuous improvement and building productive client relationships to exceed client expectations. As an effective team player, you provide guidance to support the development of your peers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A General Insurance License or obtain within two months.
  • Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education to obtain and maintain all licenses.
  • One year of sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of auto and property insurance products and experience with selling techniques is an asset.

This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment. You may be required to have your own vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance.

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
