Executive Culinary Director

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at Wasabi Izakaya. As an Executive Culinary Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role and a strong background in Japanese cuisine. You will be responsible for creating new recipes, supervising cooks and other kitchen staff, and preparing and cooking food on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
Key Responsibilities- Create new recipes that showcase the flavors and ingredients of Japanese cuisine
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively
- Prepare and cook food to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Plan menus and ensure that they are aligned with the restaurant's concept and target market
- Recruit and hire new staff members as needed
- 5+ years of experience in a senior culinary role
- Strong background in Japanese cuisine
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year
