As a Track Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Light Rail Transportation projects. Reporting to the Service Engineering, Project Engineering Maintenance Manager, your primary responsibility will be to investigate and resolve car availability issues, ensuring our customers' operations are well-supported.

As Alstom's representative in the customer's facilities, you'll work closely with internal teams to coordinate maintenance and project-related activities. Your expertise in track railway infrastructures and civil installation will be invaluable in maximizing performance and reliability from a maintenance perspective.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and guiding systems engineers, project maintenance, and maintenance crews to propose new solutions and validate changes.
  • Providing technical advice to track maintenance crews to minimize delay minutes in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Coordinating and providing technical support for service incidents.
  • Utilizing business tools to determine corrective actions following an event.
  • Supporting analysis of data from system downloads to determine corrective actions.
  • Reviewing track defect positions to minimize service failures.
  • Providing technical and operational advice to depots on service delivery.
  • Maintaining knowledge of track infrastructure systems and business tools.
  • Collating and analyzing data to report on existing defects and identify failure trends.
  • Liaising with internal and external parties for support and advice.
  • Accompanying track test runs and inspections when required.
  • Supporting corporate problem-solving tools and business improvement methodologies.
