Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of IT to lead our technology initiatives and ensure the efficient operation of our IT infrastructure at AY Talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption to enhance business performance.
  • Restructure and oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including network administration, onboarding employees, Helpdesk, cybersecurity, and software development.
  • Ensure all IT systems' availability, performance, and security, including servers, networks, databases, and applications.
  • Manage IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships to optimize costs while maintaining high service levels.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect the company's data and infrastructure from threats.
  • Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach or other IT emergencies.
  • Lead and manage IT projects, from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Oversee new technologies, systems, and software implementation and integration.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor IT staff, building a team that meets the company's evolving technological needs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience with IT project management, from planning to execution.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, with a solid understanding of scheduling and task management.
  • Experience with cloud computing, ERP systems, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communications skills in English and French.
