Assistant Store Manager - First Pro Burlington

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Customer Experience Leader to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager at Penningtons, the Canadian plus-size fashion leader. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and fostering a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail leadership, with experience in leading high-performing teams, managing sales performance, and implementing customer-centric strategies. You will be responsible for creating a store environment that inspires customers to shop, while also providing a clean, consistent, and inviting space that reflects our brand values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth and achieve business objectives through effective leadership and teamwork.
  • Develop and implement customer-focused strategies to enhance the shopping experience and increase customer loyalty.
  • Manage and motivate a high-performing team to deliver outstanding results and achieve individual and team goals.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager and District Manager to achieve company objectives and align store performance with company standards.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform merchandising and visual display decisions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of leadership and/or supervisory experience in a customer-facing retail environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction through effective leadership and teamwork.
  • Able to work weekends and evenings, as well as occasional overtime, to meet business needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
