We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot to join our team at MHM Publishing Inc. as a Line Pilot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our helicopters.
Key Responsibilities- Pilot in Command: Act as the pilot in command of our helicopters, responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft, and for the safety and security of all persons involved during flight operations.
- Flight Operations: Conduct pre-flight inspections, perform pre-flight duties such as documentation, weight and balance calculations, and flight planning as required.
- Aircraft Maintenance: Oversee the safe configuration of aircraft, including external sling loads, and adherence to all up weight load limit specifications and proper loading and securement of cargo.
- Administrative Tasks: Record flight duty times, aircraft document revision control, and expense and time sheet management.
- Safety Management: Participate in our company safety management system by regularly reporting hazards and incidents when encountered, and aiding in the corrective action follow-up process.
- Qualifications: Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate, fully vaccinated against Covid-19, valid Commercial (or higher) Canadian pilot license with minimum of 3,000 flight hours, and minimum of 1,500 hours combined experience on AS355 and AS350BA, B2, B3, B3e aircraft.
- Licenses and Certifications: Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Licence, valid passport or ability to acquire, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods Training an asset.
- Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of Canadian Air Regulations, extensive precision vertical reference external load experience, experience conducting power line patrols, and knowledge of electrical distribution and transmission power maintenance and construction.
- Travel: Willing to travel, valid driver's license, and based at the Lake Simcoe Regional Airport (CYLS) with assignments throughout Ontario.
- Salary and Benefits: Based on Level 1 Pilot salary of $155,000 per year paid bi-weekly, plus benefits, and crew house provided and expenses covered when travelling.
