Hydro One Networks Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilote de Test to join our team. As a key member of our aviation team, you will be responsible for performing pilot-in-command flight and related duties on VFR-equipped single-engine helicopters.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as pilot in command as directed by the operations manager or delegate, ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of the helicopter.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections, flight planning, and documentation, as well as oversee the safe configuration of the aircraft.
- Provide instruction and mentorship to Hydro One lines of business staff on helicopter-approved work methods and occasionally act as an instructor to deliver helicopter services training courses.
- Participate in company safety management system by regularly reporting hazards and incidents, and aiding in the corrective action follow-up process.
- Support Hydro One's mission to provide reliable electricity by accepting work at temporary work headquarters, adjusting regular work schedules, and participating in a weekend pilot on-call process.
- Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
- Valid Commercial (or higher) Canadian pilot license with minimum of 3,000 flight hours
- Minimum of 1,500 hours combined experience on AS355 and AS350BA, B2, B3, B3e aircraft
- Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Licence
- Valid passport or ability to acquire
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian Air Regulations with significant experience flying in Canadian remote as well as high-density airspace.
- Extensive precision vertical reference external load experience required.
- Experience conducting power line patrols, and knowledge of electrical distribution and transmission power maintenance and construction.
- Solid aviation knowledge base including weather reporting, GPS, and electronic mapping navigational techniques, weather minima, and aircraft radio communication.

- Willing to travel
- Valid driver's license
- Based at the Lake Simcoe Regional Airport (CYLS) with assignments throughout Ontario.
- Based on Level 1 Pilot salary of $155,000 per year paid bi-weekly plus benefits.
