About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our team at CA002 Marsh and McLennan Shared Services Canada Limited in Toronto, Canada.

Your primary responsibility will be to implement and configure Oracle EPM (Enterprise Planning and Budgeting) Cloud Services, including building metadata, designing web forms, conducting data reconciliation, and automating business rules.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Implement and configure EPBCS/PBCS or Hyperion Planning or Essbase Applications, including building metadata, designing web forms, conducting data reconciliation, building dashboards, and automating business rules.
  2. Gather business requirements, design and prototype solutions, conduct testing, provide training, define support procedures and SLAs, and implement robust and scalable solutions.
  3. Demonstrate proficiency in the creation of member formulas and any customizations in EPBCS, as well as the creation of complex business rules such as custom consolidations/aggregations, custom currency conversions, and dynamic calculations.
  4. Build integration artifacts in Cloud Data Management and FDMEE, including locations, maps, custom/import scripts, and handling file-related or custom automation using Python Scripts.
  5. Develop scripts using Python/Groovy/CDM APIs for scripting purposes.
  6. Conduct testing, including system, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing, and prepare deliverables such as design documents, test documentation, training materials, and administration/procedural guides.
  7. Utilize excellent Excel and VB Scripting skills to support various tasks.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in implementing EPBCS/PBCS or Hyperion Planning or Essbase Applications.
  • Strong functional knowledge of financial systems and processes.
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, GASP, FASB, FASAB).
  • Working knowledge of the functional aspects of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, currency translations, inter-company eliminations, and consolidation accounting under various GAAPs.
  • Proficiency in EPBCS Standard dimensions, member formulas, and customizations.
  • Proficiency in creating complex business rules.
  • Proficient in building integration artifacts in Cloud Data Management and FDMEE using Python Scripts.
  • Development experience in scripting with Python/Groovy/CDM APIs.
  • Good working knowledge of EPM Automate.
