Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Youth and Family Counsellor to join our team at Accoravillage. As a Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality services to children, youth, and families in a structured setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement therapeutic plans for children, youth, and their families, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to support the development of personal and social functioning.
  • Support educational placements and daily programming routines, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Participate in case conferences, intervention strategies, and consultations to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the living space and ensure the provision of program services that meet licensing requirements.
  • Engage in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and in-service training to enhance professional development.
Requirements
  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or Nursing.
  • Current professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • Certification, training, and experience in crisis intervention, restrictive procedures, and behaviour management are preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Class 5 Driver's License and personal mode of transportation required.
