Job Title: Drywall Installer

Mag Drywall 2008 Ltd is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and sanding seams and joints.

Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Physically demanding
  • Standing for extended periods
Own Tools/Equipment:
  • Steel-toed safety boots
