About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Mag Drywall 2008 Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure a professional finish.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to meet the required specifications.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a stable and secure installation.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling are required to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Physically demanding work is expected, requiring stamina and endurance.
  • Standing for extended periods is necessary to complete tasks effectively.
Requirements
  • Steel-toed safety boots are required to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work Term: Permanent position available.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week are standard for this position.
