Community Living Support Specialist

The Community Living Society (CLS) is a pioneering non-profit organization dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. Since 1978, we have been at the forefront of providing innovative, person-centered support services that foster independence, productivity, and meaningful relationships.
About the OpportunityWe are seeking a motivated and compassionate support worker to join our team. As a support worker, you will play a vital role in empowering an individual to live a fulfilling and increasingly independent life. Your passion for person-centered supports will enable you to help the individual discover new life skills, explore their community, and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing personalized support to help individuals achieve their life goals
- Assisting with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Accompanying individuals on community outings, such as volunteering, employment, and leisure activities
- Maintaining accurate records of daily activities and goal progression
We have two permanent positions available: a part-time position and a full-time position with varied shifts.
About YouWe are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting others and has a strong understanding of the person-centered and active support approach. To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Class 5 driver's license (permanent staff must be willing to obtain a Class 4 license)
- A First Aid and CPR Certificate
- A clear criminal record (paid by CLS)
- A clean driver's abstract
