About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at SUBWAY. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation, including portioning and wrapping food items
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, and polish floors
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities
  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
  • Support Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
