Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Subway. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in food preparation, including portioning and wrapping food items
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, and polish floors
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
- Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities
- Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
- Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment
- Recruits Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives
- Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
- Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Will train
- 30-40 hours per week
- English language proficiency
