Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation, including portioning and wrapping food items
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure proper disposal
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit as needed
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities, newcomers and/or refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and mature workers
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
