Job Summary:
Air Creebec inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Flight Dispatcher. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of air operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to monitor and coordinate air operations, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Prepare and review flight plans, as well as required work documents, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor weather conditions and communicate effectively with crews and air traffic control services to ensure safe flight operations.
- Make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing safety and adhering to company protocols.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Vocational diploma (DEP) in flight dispatching or a related field is an asset.
- Successful completion of Transport Canada exams for flight dispatcher – meteorology and flight dispatcher – operations is considered an asset.
- Proven track record of good judgment, thoroughness, and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, making quick and informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both French and English.
- Knowledge of the Cree language and culture is an asset.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights.
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new computer tools and technologies.
