Enterprise Applications Director

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Senior Director, IT Enterprise Applications to lead our organization's Enterprise Applications direction. This role will oversee and optimize the product owners, business analysts, project managers, and business system support teams. The successful candidate will develop application strategy, implement enterprise applications, manage lifecycles, and provide ongoing support and maintenance while managing vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Strategic Plan
Develop a strategic plan for the organization's enterprise applications aligned with overall business objectives. Ensure the plan is executed effectively and meets the organization's needs.
Provide Leadership and DirectionProvide leadership and direction to the enterprise applications team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to achieve their goals.
Build and Manage High-Performing TeamBuild and manage a high-performing team, ensuring staff development, engagement, and effective collaboration. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage innovation.
Define and Maintain Technology RoadmapWork with the leadership team to define and maintain a technology roadmap for enterprise applications, considering emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Manage Vendor RelationshipsOversee relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring that external solutions meet the organization's requirements and standards.
Implement Enterprise Application ProjectsDirect and manage the implementation of enterprise application projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Ensure Product Owners Prioritize and Manage Product BacklogEnsure the Product Owners prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that development efforts align with business priorities and goals.
Ensure Seamless IntegrationWork with Development and Enterprise Architecture to ensure seamless integration between various enterprise applications, such as ERP, WMS, HCM, Merchandising, and POS systems.
Implement and Enforce Security PoliciesWork with the security team to implement and enforce security policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Partner with IT SupportPartner with the IT Support team to ensure the monitoring and performance of enterprise applications.
Develop and Manage BudgetDevelop and manage the budget for enterprise applications, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with Business LeadersCollaborate with business leaders to understand their needs and challenges and align enterprise applications with business processes.
Develop and Implement Training ProgramsDevelop and implement training programs for end-users, ensuring effective adoption of new technologies.
Manage Change EffectivelyManage change effectively, especially during system upgrades or migrations.
Identify and Mitigate RisksIdentify and mitigate risks associated with enterprise applications, including data breaches, system failures, or other potential disruptions.
Foster Culture of Continuous ImprovementFoster a culture of continuous improvement by staying informed about industry trends, evaluating new technologies, and recommending improvements to existing systems and processes.
Implement Reporting and AnalyticsImplement reporting and analytics capabilities within enterprise applications to provide meaningful insights for decision-making.
Ensure Timely and Effective SupportWork with IT Support to ensure timely and effective support for end-users, addressing issues and concerns related to enterprise applications.
Travel as RequiredTravel as required to perform duties.
