Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

At Stubborn Taurus Renovations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of landscape construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to project timelines.
  • Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscape features.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, pruning, and fertilizing.
  • Supervise a team of contractors and staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and logs, including project schedules, budgets, and labor and material estimates.
  • Tender and administer contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, identifying potential issues and developing solutions.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in landscape construction or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Excellent oral communication and client focus skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, staff, and clients.
  • Strong initiative, judgement, and team player skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, with regular exposure to heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish between colours.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
