Comox Valley, Canada Lavenders Blue Gardens & Landscaping Full time

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Monitor and maintain client gardens to a professional standard;
- Perform ongoing maintenance such as weeding, pruning, edging, mulching, raking, etc.
- Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants;
- Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and whipper snippers;
- Keep all garden equipment and machinery in good working order;
- Drive work trucks & crew to various job sites;
- Maintain clean gardens by clearing litter from the garden and grounds;
- Provide guidance to management on matters related to the gardens;
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to WorkSafeBC safety and health regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to handle a range of horticultural machinery and powered hand tools.
- Knowledge of plants and gardening techniques (preferred).
- A willingness to learn, grow and adapt to a variety of situations.
- Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated commitment to teamwork.
- Solid understanding of health and safety rules and legislation.
- BC drivers licence Class 5 with a clean driving record.
- Physically fit; able to kneel, bend and lift in a variety of weather conditions.
- A love of working outside with plants and nature.
- TRAINING ON SPECIFIC GARDEN TECHNIQUES IS PROVIDED
