Cost Planning Expert for Real Estate Projects

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Consultant to join our successful Real Estate team in Ottawa, supporting top clients and working on major programs.
As a Senior Cost Consultant, you will be involved in identifying risks and opportunities in the design with cost implications, participating in change control procedures, and managing estimating and cost planning activities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities related to construction costs.
- Develop and implement change control procedures to ensure effective project delivery.
- Manage and take responsibility for estimating and cost planning activities, including preparing and presenting final cost plans/estimates to the client team.
- Conduct market research and analysis of construction costs throughout Canada, including reviewing official published data and engaging with industry experts.
- Mentor and manage junior staff.
Other Key Responsibilities:
- Staff management: Participate in performance review processes and contribute to recruitment efforts.
- Knowledge management: Ensure key information and learning from each commission are documented and shared within the organization.
- Support professional development and qualification through online learning tools and access to internal resources.
- Promote a positive company culture through social events and company-sponsored activities.
