Key Responsibilities- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of the cleaning team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and meet our high standards.
- Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning supplies and services.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for the cleaning team to ensure that tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the cleaning industry.
- Work Setting: Office building, cleaning service company, commercial facility, hospital/medical facility or clinic, or various locations.
- Tasks: Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff, supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards, prepare budget and cost estimates, establish work schedules.
- Supervision: Light duty cleaners.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, manual dexterity, combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, reliability.
