Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a qualified Learning Support Assistant to join our team at School District #91 (Nechako Lakes). As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide support to students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist teachers in the delivery of regular or alternate programs to students with special needs.
- Provide individualized support to students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
- Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
- Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate program
- BC driver's license - Class 5 Full Privileged and an exemplary driving record/current driver's abstract
- 6 months of experience working with children/youth who have intellectual/behavioral or multiple disabilities
- WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
- Casual employment with no guaranteed hours
