Learning Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Worker to join our team at David Hoy Elementary. As a key member of our school-based team, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to foster and develop the individual student's potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide assistance to teachers and other professionals in the delivery of regular or alternate programs with a group or individual students.
- Function as an advocate for the students and as a member of the school-based team where required.
- Work collaboratively with school and district staff to support student learning and well-being.
- Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
- Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate program
- BC driver's license - Class 5 Full Privileged and an exemplary driving record/current driver's abstract
- 6 months of experience working with children/youth who have intellectual/behavioral or multiple disabilities
- WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
