Okanagan College is seeking a highly qualified Vocational Instructor to join our team in the Early Childhood Education department. As a Vocational Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and professional development to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver instructional materials and courses that meet the needs of our students
- Provide guidance and support to students through advising and mentoring
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and programs that align with industry standards
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Current License to practice as an Early Childhood Educator
- Instructor's Diploma or valid BC Teacher's Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment
- Five or more years of experience working with young children
- Experience in curriculum development and teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Established community partnerships
- Several years of recent teaching experience
- Exceptional teaching record with demonstrated learner-centred teaching philosophy
Okanagan College offers a competitive salary range of $71,846 to $115,129 annually, with a normal starting salary between $78,872 and $85,897 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience.
