Vocational Instructor

Job Summary
Okanagan College is seeking a skilled Vocational Instructor to join our team in the Early Childhood Education department. As a Vocational Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and continuing excellence in your field.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional duties may include teaching assignments, course and program preparation, practicum placement, student contact, student advising, and evaluation and marking of student work.
- Professional duties may include curriculum development, student registration, and professional development activities.
- Service may include school visitations, participation on committees, and representing the college at various functions.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required, with a Master's Degree preferred.
- A current License to practice as an Early Childhood Educator is also required.
- Five or more years of experience working with young children is preferred, as well as experience in curriculum development and established community partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Several years of recent teaching experience is an asset.
- Candidates must be committed to a team approach, demonstrate good written and oral English skills, and have good interpersonal skills.
