Vocational Instructor

Okanagan College is seeking a skilled Vocational Instructor to join our team in the Early Childhood Education department. As a Vocational Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and professional development to students in the Early Childhood Education program.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver instructional duties, including teaching assignments, course and program preparation, and student advising.
- Develop and implement curriculum that promotes teaching excellence and subject area competence.
- Provide professional development opportunities for students and colleagues.
- Participate in school visitations, committee work, and other service activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
- Current License to practice as an Early Childhood Educator.
- Instructor's Diploma or valid BC Teacher's Certificate (required following appointment).
- Five or more years of experience working with young children.
- Experience in curriculum development and strong community partnerships (desired).
- Established strong community partnerships.
- Several years of recent teaching experience.
- Exceptional teaching record with demonstrated learner-centred teaching philosophy.
Okanagan College offers a competitive salary range of $71,846 to $115,129 annually, with a normal starting salary between $78,872 and $85,897 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience.
